Overview

Tataki is a shamisen tablature editor and player. This document explains what data we collect, why, and how you can control it. Plain language first; the legalese is online for completeness when we need it.

What we store

• Local tabs. Everything you write or edit is stored on your device. We don't upload it.
• Catalog downloads. When you download a tab from the catalog, a copy is cached on your device.
• Account data (when you create one): email address, display name, hashed password, and verification state. Hosted on Fly.io in Tokyo (nrt).
• Diagnostic data. Crash reports and basic performance metrics via Sentry — no tab content.

What we do not store

• We never read the contents of your tabs.
• We don't sell or share your data with third parties.
• We don't run ad networks or behavioural tracking.

Cookies

The Tataki website uses one HTTP-only cookie to keep you signed in. It is set by our API and is removed when you sign out. We use no analytics, tracking, or advertising cookies.

Deleting your account

Open the app's Settings screen and choose "Delete account". Your account and all server-side data are removed within 30 days; the grace period is required by GDPR.
